Paul Cezanne – Born: 1839 – Aix-en-Provence and died 1906. Cezanne was encouraged to start painting at an early age regardless of his lack of interest. Cezanne studied in Paris at Academie Suisse, then returning home, and then went back to Paris at an attempt to attend Ecole des Beaux Arts but was rejected because his painting was to extreme. At this early point in his career he was influenced heavily by Delacroix and by the Baroque painters. As his career moved forward his art evolved adding more vibrant colors and between 1892 and 1903 he created some of his best works of modernist landscapes, still life and figure painting.
